Entertainment

Anyone who has relocated or made a vacation to La Quinta, California is well aware of the incredible natural beauty of the region. From the ring of surrounding mountains to the beautiful and fertile “desert” near the Salton Sea area, it is impossible not to notice the natural surroundings of the region.

It is also difficult not to take note of the glorious weather as well. Statistics indicate that La Quinta enjoys roughly 350 days of sunshine throughout any given year, and that even during the winter months the daytime temperatures will average around 80 degrees Fahrenheit. This is all great news for those who have come to the city to enjoy the 20-plus golf courses or the major resort destinations.

Shopping At Old Town La Quinta Never Goes Out Of Fashion.

What about the people who are not interested in heading to the golf course? What sort of La Quinta entertainment is available? While we cannot even hope to itemize the many activities that the resort locations make available for their guests, we can point out that the Main Street area of La Quinta, known as Old Town La Quinta does provide people with an enormous array of entertainment options.

For one thing, there are eleven parks and many miles of hiking and biking trails. There is also the impressive La Quinta Museum that provides a fascinating glimpse far back in the history of the region. There is also a regular free “Moonlight Movie” in the Old Town area, and this takes place on the massive Event Lawn right in the heart of town.

Everybody Likes Dining In La Quinta.

In addition to the movie nights, the Old Town is a great place to catch one of the many live concerts regularly hosted on this welcoming and comfortable space. This is a great opportunity because it provides you with totally free parking, dozens of dining options, and a great way to sit out beneath the stars and enjoy the fantastic local weather.

The area is also home to one of the “Top Ten Classic Car Shows in the World,” according to “Der Spiegel” magazine. That is the Desert Classic Concourse d’Elegance that occurs right in the Old Town area and which fills the streets with some of the most pristine classic cars imaginable.

Apart from the golfing, swimming, tennis, shopping, dining, hiking, biking, movie going, socializing, and exploring that is all possible in and around the La Quinta area, there is still plenty more to do when staying at one of the fine resorts. That includes a day at the spa or enjoying a Pilates class in the gym as a form of active entertainment!
