Hotels

How do you know when a vacation destination has been developed in a thoughtful manner? It isn’t jam-packed with hotels, motels, and guesthouses in places meant to be enjoyed for their scenic beauty. Anyone who has ever set foot on the beaches of a place like Honolulu can tell you that it would have been better if the development could have been controlled.

“World Famous” La Quinta Resort & Club – La Quinta, CA

When you visit La Quinta California however you notice right away that the local planners did apply the kind of careful consideration for the environment and have been able to preserve the stunning beauty of the landscape while also creating facilities for housing a large number of visitors on a year-round basis.

This region does need to consider how to deal with travelers on a constant basis because it is one of the areas of the world that enjoys consistently gorgeous weather. With roughly 350 days of sunshine and average winter daytime temperatures around 80 degrees Fahrenheit, it is naturally a place where the world’s “snowbirds” love to visit. It is also a place where short-term vacationers will head as well.

One of the defining things about La Quinta is the impressive number of world-class golf courses dotting the landscape. Most have been professionally designed (and in most cases by world famous golfers), and many of them can be accessed by those only visiting the region for a brief time.

So, how many hotels surround these dozens of golf courses? You might automatically envision the traditional five to ten structures spread around each area, but you will be pleasantly surprised to read that La Quinta has really limited the number of large-scale hotels to four. Four incredibly well designed and full-featured hotels that are each set in some of the loveliest scenery imaginable.

Lake La Quinta Inn, one of California’s most exclusive boutique hotels, has a splendid backdrop formed by Lake La Quinta and the Santa Rosa Mountains. The world-renowned La Quinta Resort & Club (a historic property dating back to the 1920s) is surrounded by mountains, lush landscape and incredible desert scenery too. Homewood Suites by Hilton La Quinta is conveniently located on the north side of La Quinta and close to the cities of Indian Wells and Palm Desert. Embassy Suites La Quinta – Hotel & Spa  is right in the heart of town and convenient to Old Town La Quinta and several magnificent golf courses.

No matter where you stay in La Quinta, you are bound to be surrounded by truly natural beauty and also extremely close to the many attractions that bring so many to the region.
