Griffin Ranch was initially conceived by entertainment and media icon Merv Griffin. Griffin, one of the first to recognize the desert’s promising future, purchased a large tract of rural land over 30 years ago, before the City of La Quinta was incorporated, to be the home of his Moroccan-styled estate. In 2005, Mr. Griffin chose to turn a portion of his property into a master-planned equestrian community. Thus, Griffin Ranch was born, and opened in the summer of 2007.
